The Pitt men’s basketball team fell to #14-ranked Iowa 69-68 last night as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge series. Freshman Xavier Johnson led Pitt with 18 points and six assists. The Panthers fell to 6-1. Iowa improved to 6-0.
The Penn State men defeated #13-ranked Virginia Tech 63-62 last night. It was the Nittany Lions first win against a non-conference top-25 team at home in 25 years.
