The Pitt men’s basketball team defeated California 86-74 yesterday at the Petersen Events Center. The Panthers improving to 11-2 this season, and are now 2-0 in the ACC. Pitt got off to a slow start, falling behind 39-23 with just over four minutes remaining in the first half. Jaland Lowe netted 27 to lead the Panthers, who were without senior guard Ismael Leggett when he injured an ankle in practice this week.
Pitt will host Stanford Saturday at the Petersen Events Center. Tip-off is 6:30pm.
