The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 4-3 Sunday afternoon at PNC Park when Yoshi Tsutsugo hit a walk-off three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning. It was his fifth home run in 13 games as a Pirate. The Bucs had managed just three hits in the game prior to the home run, all were singles in the fourth inning.
The Pirates are off today and will spend the rest of the week in Chicago when they face the White Sox for two games and then four games with the Cubs.
