The Pittsburgh Pirates traded starting pitcher Jameson Taillon to the New York Yankees in exchange for four prospects.
The Pirates received two pitchers, and infielder and outfielder in the trade, with three of the players listed among the Yankees top-20 prospects.
Taillon was the second overall pick by the Pirates in baseball’s 2010 amateur draft. He went 29-24 with a 3.67 ERA with the Bucs, but was set back by numerous health issues and two Tommy John surgeries.
