The Pittsburgh Pirates dropped their fifth straight game on Saturday afternoon, losing to the visiting Philadelphia Phillies by a final of 3-2.
The Bucs jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after the third inning, before giving up three runs and the lead in the seventh inning. Pirates’ outfielder Corey Dickerson gave the Pirates the chance to extend the game in the bottom of the ninth by collecting a leadoff double, however, the Buccos could not capitalize. Jameson Taillon pitched six and two-thirds innings for the Pirates, and struck out six.
The Pirates look to avoid the series sweep by the Phillies on Sunday afternoon. You can catch all of the action, starting with pregame coverage on WISR 680AM. First pitch at PNC Park is scheduled for 1:35pm.
