The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Detroit Tigers 7-4 last night at PNC Park. Mitch Keller went six innings in the game, allowing two runs over six innings. He struck out nine. The Bucs had 12 hits in the game, with five players getting at least two hits. Bryan Reynolds hit his 2nd home run of the spring. It was his 100th career home run.
The Bucs and Tigers complete their short two-game series this afternoon at 12:35pm. WISR will join the game following the Noon News. Martin Perez will start for the Pirates.
The Pirates are off Wednesday, then begin a seven-game road trip with the first four games in Philadelphia. They are off to an 9-2 start this season.
The Bucs and Yankees continue to lead the best starts in baseball. New York defeated Miami 7-0 Monday. The Marlins are off to a 1-10 start to their season.
