
The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 3-2 Friday night in Milwaukee.
Pitcher Chris Archer went four innings and left the game with left hip discomfort. Kevin Newman kept his hitting streak alive with a solo home run in the third inning. His streak is now at 18 games. Colin Moran hit into a force out that scored a run in the eighth inning and Newman hit into a force out in the ninth to score the winning run.
The Pirates and Brewers play again tonight. You can hear that game on WISR 680am starting at 7:50 p.m. with the pregame show. First pitch goes out at 8:15 p.m.
