A Philadelphia man has entered a guilty plea to federal drug charges connected with an incident in Butler in 2020.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, 23-year-old Zion Elam-Sturgis admitted to conspiring to possess with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of a substance containing cocaine in June of 2020.
Sentencing will take place in March with Elam-Sturgis expected to receive between 5 and 40 years in prison and a fine of up to $5 million.
The FBI was assisted in this investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police and the Butler County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force.
