The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Ottawa Senators 3-1 last night. The Pens never trailed in the game, taking a 2-0 lead in the second period on goals by Patric Hornqvist and Jake Guentzel. Goaltender Matt Murray stopped 21 of 22 shots on goal. Riley Sheahan scored his first goal as a Penguin, with an empty-net goal at the end of the game. He took a feed from Sidney Crosby.
The Pens host the Chicago Blackhawks Saturday for a 7pm face-off. Pre-game on WISR 680am will be 6:30pm.
