
The status of center Derick Brassard is unknown for tonight’s game. Brassard left Tuesday’s loss against Detroit in the third period with a “lower body” injury and did not return. The Pens did not practice Wednesday.
The Washington Capitals defeated the New York Rangers 3-2 in overtime last night, and have moved closer to clinching the Metropolitan Division. The Caps lead the Pens and Philadelphia Flyers by seven points.
The Flyers defeated Colorado 2-1 last night and are now tied with the Pens. The Flyers have four regular season games remaining. The Pens have five. (3 of the 5 games are at PPG Paints Arena).
