The Florida Panthers lost 6-3 to the Philadelphia Flyers, so they remain one point in front of the Pens for the final playoff spot in the East. The Pens have 12 games remaining, Florida now has 11 games remaining.
Three teams chasing the Penguins: Buffalo, Washington and Ottawa, all lost last night.
The New York Islanders are now four points in front of the Pens and hold the top Wild Card after defeating Toronto 7-2 last night. The Islanders have 10 games remaining in their regular season.
