The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Las Vegas Golden Knights 5-4 last night. It was the Penguins eighth win in a row at PPG Paints Arena. Evgeni Malkin scored his 30th goal of the season, marking the sixth time in his career he has reached that mark. The Pens went 0-for-5 on the power play, yet battled back from a 2-0 deficit in the win. Former goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury was given a video tribute during the game. Fleury stopped 33 of the Penguins 38 shots. Pens goaltender Matt Murray stopped 21 of 25.
Coupled with New Jersey’s loss to Ottawa last night, the Pens have moved into second place in the Metropolitan Division. The Pens visit Dallas Friday.
