The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 in pre-season hockey last night. Bryan Rust, Jason Zucker and Josh Archibald scored the Penguins goals as they improved to 2-2 in exhibition play. Casey DeSmith made 37 saves in net.
The Penguins have lost Radim Zahorna to waivers. The 6-foot-6 forward was claimed by Calgary after being one of the 17 cuts from the Penguins camp this week.
