The Pittsburgh Penguins came away with one point after losing in the shootout to Dallas Friday night 4-3.
The Pens jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period with goals from Riley Sheahan and Carl Hagelin. Neither team scored in the second period but the Stars managed to score three consecutive goals in the third period to take a 3-2 lead. With just under two minutes remaining in regulation, coach Mike Sullivan pulled Matt Murray out of the net to have an extra attacker on the ice and at 18:47 Justin Schultz scored his third goal of the season to tie the game at 3.
Neither team scored in the overtime period and the game went to the shootout. Matt Murray gave up one goal in the shootout which gave the Stars the win.
The Pens play Sunday at 12:00 p.m. in St. Louis. You can hear coverage of that game on WISR 680am starting shortly after noon.
