The Washington Capitals defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1 last night. It was the fifth loss in a row for the Penguins, the longest losing streak under head coach Mike Sullivan.
The Pens had 42 shots on goal and held Washington 1-for-6 on the power play. Casey DeSmith got the start in goal for the struggling Matt Murray. He made 20 of 22 saves.
The Pens host Arizona Saturday at PPG Paints Arena.
