A personal finance website has released a report that puts Pennsylvania at the top of a list on the states with the most student debt.
WalletHub compared states across 12 metrics, including average student debt and unemployment rates.
The report put South Dakota as the state with the most student debt, followed by Pennsylvania and West Virginia. States with the least amount of student debt included Utah, Hawaii and California.
According to WalletHub, the average student debt in states near the top of the list was $38,000.
