Pennsylvania’s top law enforcement official has a problem with the bonuses that a large pharmacy company wants to give executives.
State Attorney General Josh Shapiro has filed a legal objection to a recent authorization request made by Purdue Pharma to give $38 million in bonuses to company executives.
Purdue is making this request two weeks after declaring bankruptcy as a result of liabilities related to their creation of the drug OxyContin.
The ongoing opioid epidemic continues to claim an average of 12 lives every day across Pennsylvania.
