PennDOT is honoring two employees from Armstrong County for innovative work for snow removal.
Aaron Raible and Corey Neal were recognized for implementing an air foil attachment for plow trucks. The attachment is mounted on top of a plow truck and directs air onto the backside of the truck to help prevent snow and dirt from accumulating.
PennDOT officials say that it helps increase visibility for plow drivers.
The department is hoping to expand the use of the air foil attachment this winter and test it on major interstates.
