Penn State fell to #11 in the national rankings after their 27-26 loss to Ohio State Saturday. The Buckeyes moved up to #3. Alabama remains #1 followed by Georgia. Clemson fell to #4 after rallying to defeat Syracuse, who fell out of the top-25. West Virginia moved up to #9 after defeating Texas Tech.
Slippery Rock defeated Mercyhurst 41-21 Saturday night after building a 28-0 first half lead. It was the Rock’s 15th consecutive night win at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium. Slippery Rock is now tied with California and Clarion for first place in the PSAC-West and visit Indiana this Saturday. IUP had been ranked #2 before being upset by Cal 36-24 in their annual “Coal Bowl” game Saturday.
