Sean Parnell made it official Tuesday—he’s running for Senate.
The former candidate for the 17th Congressional District announced he’s entering the Republican primary to replace Senator Pat Toomey.
The 39-year-old former Afghanistan veteran narrowly lost to Democrat Conor Lamb last fall; however he did not concede that race.
Parnell joins a growing field of GOP candidates in a primary that won’t be decided until 2022.
