Local lawmakers are offering their reactions to the House passing President Biden’s Build Back Better program.
Congressman Mike Kelly voted with his Republican colleagues against the bill saying that it was a “bloated bill that does not serve the American people.” He also added that he can’t justify voting for an additional $2 trillion bill.
Democratic Senator Bob Casey however said that the bill “creates jobs and strengthens the nation’s economy.”
The bill passed along party lines in the House. It now moves to the Senate.
