A new study shows that our area saw more than 50 days of unhealthy air quality last year.
According to environmental advocacy group PennEnvironment, the Greater Pittsburgh region had officially 57 days of bad air—meaning that air pollution levels were higher than normal.
The study was based on data from the Environmental Protection Agency.
The report said the most significant contributors to air pollution in the region continue to be industrial and traffic.
