The National Weather Service will determine whether a tornado moved through parts of western Pennsylvania on Tuesday evening.
Residents of Greene County say they saw what looked like a funnel cloud touch down in a small town just outside of Waynesburg. Trees were uprooted and toppled.
Hail the size of a nickel was reported in Westmoreland County, as the storm also brought down trees and flooded some roads.
In Crawford County, the National Weather Service says an EF-2 tornado did touch down on top of a nursing home on Tuesday afternoon. Wind gusts up to 115 mph tore the roof off part of the Rolling Fields elder care facility, a few miles east of Conneautville, Pa.
No major injuries have been reported.
Butler County was under a Tornado Warning but no major damage has been reported. Around 7:30 p.m., crews were called to Cranberry Township for possible flooding on Franklin and North Boundary roads.
