A nurse who worked in Butler County is facing charges for allegedly stealing medicine from patients.
According to our news partners at WPXI, 46-year-old Karen Hemby of Ellwood City is facing 72 counts for illegally taking medications from patients at the Fair Winds Nursing Home in Sarver.
Court documents say that Hemby signed out 18 doses of medicine for patients and that there is no record those were ever administered.
According to police, Hemby admitted that she took the medicine for her teeth.
At the time of this report, Hemby had still not been arrested nor arraigned.
