Nippon Steel and U.S. Steel have filed a lawsuit against the government following President Joe Biden’s decision to block to nearly $15 billion deal.
The suit was filed yesterday in a U.S. Court of Appeals calling the decision a political move that violates due process.
In a prepared statement, the companies said that both parties have engaged in good faith and that the deal would not threaten U.S. national security. Which is one of the reasons Biden stated in his decision to block the sale.
