State Police are releasing crash and arrest data from the New Year’s holiday.
Police say from New Year’s Eve through January 2nd, police were called to 425 crashes across the state, including one fatality. The number of fatalities are down from 5 last year.
The number of DUI arrests and speeding citations were also down. DUI arrests were down by 70, and speeding citations were down by 1,000.
Alcohol played a role in 31 of those accidents.
