Authorities in Florida have released new details surrounding the investigation into the murder of a mother. The woman charged in the case is a native of Butler County.
Kimberly Kessler- who grew up in Butler- has been charged with murdering Joleen Cummings. The two worked together at a hair salon in Florida. Kessler was the last person to see Cummings before she disappeared. Cummings body has not been found.
Late last week, the Florida State Attorney’s Office released new video of investigators interviewing Kessler in the days following Cummings’ disappearance, according to News4Jax. She appeared to be talkative and open with detectives about her past, but she wouldn’t say much when asked about Cummings and where her body might be.
The interview was over when Kessler asked for legal counsel.
Kessler is thought to have multiple aliases. In the interview with the Florida authorities, Kessler said she hadn’t talked to her family in Pennsylvania “in a long time.”
