Local veterans enrolled with VA Butler Healthcare now have a new benefit that will help make treatment easier and more convenient.
Under the newly implemented MISSION Act, the urgent care benefit will allow veterans to visit local clinics for treatment of minor healthcare needs.
This benefit could be especially valuable for veterans who are traveling as any participating provider across the country would be available at any time. This benefit also includes medications prescribed during the visit at a community pharmacy although some veterans may experience a copay.
No prior VA authorization is necessary but veterans must be enrolled in the VA Health Care system and have received care through the VA in the past two years.
