With Martin Truex Junior’s fourth victory of the year on Saturday night at Kentucky Speedway, the Monster Energy Series win list is holding at seven with seven races left before the post-season begins. Other race winners in 2018 are Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Austin Dillon, Clint Bowyer, Joey Logano and Erik Jones. There’ll be at least two drivers qualifying for the playoffs who’ll get in on points. Heading into next weekend’s race in New Hampshire, there’s a three-way battle for what would be the final post-season berth. Alex Bowman of Hendrick Motorsports holds the spot now and carries a ninepoint lead over Ricky Stenhouse Junior with Paul Menard another fourteen points back. None of those three have won at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, site of Sunday’s Cup Series race.
