A motorist was injured after their vehicle was struck by a tractor trailer late last week in Jackson Township.
According to State Police, a tractor trailer was traveling north on Interstate 79 just before 3:30pm on Friday (November 1st). Authorities say that the truck was approaching a traffic light near mile-marker 89 where traffic was stopped.
Police say that the truck was unable to stop in time, and struck the rear of a pickup that was stopped at the light.
The driver of the pickup suffered unknown injuries, and was transported to UPMC Passavant in Cranberry for treatment. The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.
