One person has died as a result of a motorcycle crash on Route 422 westbound Thursday afternoon.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center just after 12:30 p.m. for a motorcycle down on 422 between Route 8 and Route 38.
Crews from Butler Township and Butler City were among those arriving at the scene to find a wire reportedly down on the highway. Route 422 in that area is expected to be closed for the rest of the afternoon.
The Butler County Coroner has confirmed that the driver of the motorcycle died. Another injured rider was taken to meet a helicopter at Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
