Healthy community members are encouraged to help neighbors in need through participation in an upcoming blood drive.
The American Red Cross drive is coming up Thursday from 1 to 6:30 p.m. at the Saxonburg Fireman’s Club.
Blood supply remains critical, especially type O and those able to donate platelets. Anyone who donates at this drive will receive a free four month subscription to Apple Music by email. Donors will also be entered into a drawing to win a VIP trip for two to this year’s sold out Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.
Anyone able to donate should make an appointment through the website of the American Red Cross, the Red Cross Blood Donor App, or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.
Most people who have received a COVID-19 vaccine are able to donate but it is important to know the manufacturer of the vaccine received.
