The Department of Labor has announced $1.5 million investment towards supporting registered pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs.
The Southwest Corner Workforce Development Board which supports several Western Pennsylvania Counties including Butler was awarded $250,000.
The money will be spent to increase networking opportunities, increase enrollment to different facilities, and offer career counseling.
These programs are fully funded by the Commonwealth.
