The number of coronavirus cases continues to grown locally with the Department of Health reporting 69 new cases today.
That comes after 98 additional cases this weekend.
The number of negative tests today was 179, giving the report a 27.8 percent positivity rate. State health officials say Butler is now among 39 other counties that have concerning positivity rates.
Overall, the state added 2,060 new cases, six additional deaths, and around 11,000 negative tests.
As of Friday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating seven patients for the coronavirus, with two in the ICU. We’re expecting to hear another update from Butler Health System later today.
