The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the San Francisco Giants 7-4 last night for their second straight victory. Andrew McCutchen led the Bucs with four hits, nearly hitting for the cycle. Jordy Mercer returned to the Pirate line-up and had a solo home run. The Giants became the second team this season to plate four runs against Pirate starter A.J. Burnett, but he still picked up his sixth win of the season. Mark Melancon closed the game for his 15th save.
The Bucs and Giants complete their three-game series this afternoon at 3:45pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am is 3:20pm.
