The Mars School District is reminding parents of students that they can sign up for text message alerts.
The notifications are used to communicate regarding general information about the district, but also to send alerts about school closings and delays or other emergency situations.
Parents can opt into the service by texting “Yes” to 67587.
The district will also continue to send emails and online updates.
