–The Mars girls will meet Plum in the 3A championship Saturday in a battle of undefeated teams after the Planets shut-out Montour 6-0 last night in the semifinals. Reese Dunaway scored twice for Mars, who are carrying a 38-game win streak into the game and are now 15-0 this season. The defending WPIAL champions are playing in the championship game for the fourth year in a row. Plum enters the game 16-0. The match will be played at North Allegheny high school at begins at noon Saturday.
–The North Catholic Girls defeated previously unbeaten Shady Side Academy 2-1 in overtime last night in the WPIAL 2A semifinals. Lily Karsman scored the game-winner for North Catholic. Grace Billman scored the other goal for the Lady Trojans, who will meet Avonworth in the 2A title game Saturday at Gateway high school beginning at noon.
–The Seneca Valley Boys Soccer team defeated Norwin 5-1 last night in the 4A semifinals. The Raiders fell behind 1-0, but scored five unanswered goals to reach the championship match against Peters Township. The title match will be played Saturday at North Allegheny high school beginning at 3pm. Seneca Valley has won 10-games in a row, and are now 13-1-1 this season.
–The Slippery Rock Girls Soccer team dominated their District-10 2A semifinal playoff match last night with an 8-0 shut-out win over Franklin. The first two goals were scored by senior Izabelle Wilison, with senior Hannah Burtner adding two goals, and Amanda Lewis, Hannah Plunkard, Tori Hinchberger, and Olivia Rock each adding 1 goal each. Slippery Rock will host their District 10 Championship game this Saturday 7 at 1pm in the Troy-Alan Stadium in Slippery Rock against Villa Maria.
–The Butler Golden Tornado will meet the North Allegheny Tigers tonight in the WPIAL 4A championship. The match will be played at Gateway high school in Monroeville and will begin at 8pm.
