Mars Area School District is expanding its program that gives students their own technological devices to help learn.
5th and 6th graders at the Mars Centennial School will now get a district-issued device to use in-school and at home. It’s not mandatory for all students to take the device, but for those that do, they have to pay a $50 technology fee for the year.
Students can also bring their own devices from home to use during the school day.
The district’s “one-to-one” technology program already supplied 7th through 12th graders with devices.
