A man has pled guilty to murdering his mother nearly three years ago in Lawrence County.
Last Friday, 39-year-old Shane McDevitt pled guilty to third degree murder, strangulation, and two misdemeanors.
Police say that after McDevitt killed his mother, 65-year-old Cecelia Liposky, at a home on Mercer Road in Neshannock Township in May 2022, McDevitt got into a car chase with police.
Part of the chace led him through Butler County, where he is also still facing charges. He was eventually apprehended after crashing into a pole near the Pittsburgh Mills Mall in Allegheny County.
He will be sentenced March 14.
