A man is in the Butler County Prison after an argument between he and his girlfriend escalated into a physical fight.
Police were called out to the 400 block of Bow Circuit in Seven Fields for a report of domestic violence.
Police say 30-year-old Shacore Proctor was arguing with his girlfriend over several days when he allegedly attacked her. The argument eventually escalated to becoming physical when Proctor strangled his girlfriend from behind.
Proctor has been charged strangulation and simple assault. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $30,000 bail.
Proctor has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Nov. 1.
