One man is in custody this morning after leading police on a chase throughout the City of Butler.
The incident happened last night around 7 p.m. in the city. State police had alerted City Police about 28-year-old Raymond McIntyre of Clarion had an outstanding warrant. Police say McIntyre was believed to be violent and allegedly threatened “suicide by cop.”
When officer tried to arrest McIntyre, he took off in his car. Police say he ran multiple stop signs, red lights, and went the wrong way down one way streets.
McIntyre eventually drove through backyards, where his car got stuck.
He and a female passenger were taken into custody without incident on Zenith Road—which is just off of Delwood Road in Butler Township.
McIntyre was placed in the Butler County Prison.
