A local organization is joining with the Butler County Humane Society later this week to mark National Dog Days.
Residents of Lowrie Place will receive a visit from a few dogs at their Stirling Village location in Meridian from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday afternoon.
Visitors are invited to bring canine companions for a day of doggie treats, doggies ice cream, doggie bubbles, and a doggie costume contest.
Those planning to attend are asked to bring a treat or toy for the Butler County Humane Society.
