
A group of local students will be recognized for excelling in a new competition.
The Pennsylvania Interscholastic E-sports Association will present the state’s first ever scholastic e-sports state championship trophy to the North Catholic High School E-sports program Monday morning in Cranberry Township.
North Catholic won the PIEA Spring 2021 State Championships in the Rocket League last month with a 6-1 regular season record and a successful journey through the State Championship post season.
In addition to the trophy, the North Catholic e-sports program will also receive $1,400 in scholarship funds and high quality gaming equipment.
