Butler City Police are spending as much time as possible on extra patrols in Father Marinaro Park in order to ensure residents are able to enjoy spending time in a fun and safe manner.
After receiving reports of a man driving a dirt bike through the park multiple times, charges including Reckless Endangerment have been filed against 19-year-old Marcus Townsend of South Street in Butler.
After significant graffiti was found at the park last week, two adults and a 15-year-old juvenile have been charged with felony Criminal Mischief as well as Conspiracy. The adults are 23-year-old Dane Smith of Second Street in Butler and 19-year-old Kyle Young of Evans City. Estimates of damage are in excess of $16,000.
Anyone who sees suspicious or criminal behavior in the park should immediately notify Butler City Police by calling 911.
