The dedication of a local librarian at the Butler Area Public Library is being recognized by the Public Broadcasting Service.
Butler Area Public Library Youth Services Librarian Tiffany Harkleroad has been named as a 2021 PBS KIDS Early Learning Champion.
Harkleroad and 10 other educators from across the country received this designation due to their passion and devotion to strengthening and innovating early education, especially during the pandemic, using the tools and resources of local PBS stations like WQED Pittsburgh.
The PBS KIDS Early Learning Champion Program has recognized a total of 38 educators of young children since it was established in 2018.
