As winter approaches, a local organization is asking for help assisting cats in our community.
A Cats in Christmas collection is underway at the Butler Fairground Market pavilion behind the store until 7 p.m. Friday as well as Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Visitors can purchase refreshments through the market or Christmas decorations to support local cat-trapping projects.
Those planning to stop by are also encouraged to bring a cat food gift to help area cats in need. Parking is available in the side lot.
