Two more people have died locally at Butler Memorial Hospital this week as a result of serious COVID-19 symptoms.
The hospital reported one COVID-related death to the state on Monday.

According to the Butler Health System, as of Thursday morning 38 patients were hospitalized at Butler Memorial Hospital with four of those in the ICU. This is three fewer hospitalized compared to Monday with the same number of COVID patients in the ICU.
Butler Health System also announced that the organization will comply with the new government direction that vaccines for healthcare workers are now mandatory. BHS will prepare for implementation after is has had time to study the specifics of the requirement.
