Local COVID hospitalizations have dropped slightly according to officials with the Butler Health System; however two more people have died.
The latest weekly update showed that, as of Monday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital is treating 5 patients for the coronavirus, with no one in the ICU.
That’s one fewer patients hospitalized and the same number in the ICU compared to last week. BHS reported one local death to the state as a result of COVID on Monday the 14th as well as another on the 15th.
The state Department of Health most recently reported just over 120 cases of COVID in Butler County last week.
