The number of patients hospitalized for COVID continues to grow both in Butler and across the state.
According to the Butler Health System, as of Tuesday morning 33 patients are hospitalized at Butler Memorial Hospital with three of those in the ICU. This is an increase of 10 compared to last Thursday. The hospital also reported one death to the state on Saturday.
That’s the most patients that BMH has been treating for the coronavirus since January.
Meanwhile, there are now more than 2,000 people hospitalized with COVID across the state.
That’s the first time since May of this year that Pennsylvania has crossed 2,000 patients.
The Department of Health also reported nearly 13,000 new cases over the past four days, continuing an ongoing rise in new cases.
But, the DOH also says that more than 66 percent of adults over 18 in Pennsylvania are now fully vaccinated.
