A Karns City High School graduate was laid to rest over the weekend following a fatal crash last week in Butler County.
John Best, 29, of Worthington, formerly of Karns City, was killed Wednesday night after losing control of his car on Clearfield Road.
State police said Best was driving south on the road when he veered to the right and struck an embankment. He was partially ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Police aren’t sure what caused him to initially lose control.
Bests’ three-month-old baby was also inside the car at the time of the crash but is reportedly doing OK.
Best was the owner and operator of Best Construction Around. An online charity was set up through GoFundMe.
